It was just last week that George Town celebrated their 7th Anniversary as UNESCO’s World Heritage Site with the theme Treasure of Taste. You can read about this more in our previous piece.

To celebrate, young film makers fed audiences with their best works for the Kaki Lima Short Film Competition with this year’s theme — Food for Festival.

The Kaki Lima Short Film Competition is a cultural initiative by George Town World Heritage Incorporated that kick-started in 2014, held in conjunction with the heritage celebrations. The purpose of the competition is to generate awareness among locals to conserve George Town and there ain’t no better way to do so than making it all about food!
