by Daisy SunshineAugust 10, 2018

From the 11th to the 12th of August 2018, we at The Daily Seni are curating an eclectic mix of local and international films to be shown at this weekend’s Cyberjaya Multimedia Festival that’s happening at Centrus Mall, Cyberjaya! From the best selected short films to summer blockbusters, we’ve got the kids, the youth, the elderly and you covered with our screenings for the year!

Other than local and international films, we will also be throwing in a few animation films such as Boboiboy into our list! The film screenings of major local films were only made possible with our collaboration and advising with FINAS.

Our local picks!

We’ll be starting off by listing out all the local (short) films that we’ve specially selected for your viewing this year!

1. KL Special Forces

Directed and written by Syafiq Yusof, starring Fattah Amin, Rosyam Nor; this blockbuster tells the tale of one special unit police force, led by Roslan and the newly recruited officer Zul, who have been cracking down an infamous robbery gang called “Gang Anarchist”.

The leader of the antagonistic rebel band is Asyraff, whose meticulous plans often successfully elude and frustrate the police force with their top-notch robbery tactics. Things start getting complicated as Asyraff begins using psychological warfare onto both protagonists, creating a spiral into unchecked hidden secrets and relationship strains.
