List of Winners from the Festival Filem Malaysia ke-28 Launch

LOCAL film awards show Festival Filem Malaysia (FFM) launched this year’s edition at the headquarters of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) last night. The evening saw ten awards handed out before the main ceremony on Saturday.

If last year FFM took to KLCC’s Symphony Lake Suite for its less-coveted awards, this year the team seems to have gone for a more conservative approach, decking out FINAS’s Studio Sound Stage instead. The main awards night however will be held at Plenary Hall once again and see Nabil Ahmad and Sherry Al-Hadad return as hosts.

It’s worth noting that unlike a traditional “technical awards” ceremony, FFM traditionally hands out awards which are less popular among its followers prior to the main night. Winners revealed are from a range of sections such as production design, music and documentary-making.
