The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates 20 years with a special new season

Listening to classical music today has become the aural equivalent of eating your vegetables. Most of us probably grew up understanding its significance, but likely don’t enjoy its consumption as much as the grown-ups do. 

But classical music is timeless and indeed celebrated for a reason. Malaysian piano prodigy Tengku Irfan visits Malaysia to play Rachmaninoff

PIANIST Tengku Irfan was eleven when he performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. It saw him improvising his own cadenzas for all three movements in Beethoven‘s Piano Concerto in E Flat. It was very impressive for a child, and it earned him a lifetime around the world composing, playing and learning music.
