“Nawangsih” mengisahkan mengenai sebuah keluarga iaitu Arya bersama isterinya, Kiran serta dua anak perempuan mereka, Srimaya dan Nawangsih yang berpindah ke sebuah rumah lama milik arwah ayah Arya. Segalanya baik-baik sahaja sehinggalah pada suatu hari, Nawangsih menemui sebuah lampu usang di dalam kotak yang merupakan warisan peninggalan arwah ayah Arya. Sejak itu, Nawangsih mempunyai hubungan luar biasa dengan roh yang menetap di dalam lampu usang tersebut.

Don’t be flummoxed by the label musical-drama though, because it’s a milestone away from what you’d expect a musical to be. Instead of the stars belting out catchy cum heart-wrenching tunes, the 110 minute film features dramatically placed music clips reflecting the mood of the scene.
