The legendary singer, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza who even after more than two decades of musical career and discography is Spotify’s Most Streamed Local Artist in 2018 . If you’re fan, you should be nticipating her international tour, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza On Tour that will begin early 2019.
Known for her distinctive and range-varying voice who made classics out of tracks like the 90’s bop, Aku Cinta Padamu and the go-to karaoke song that you would want to sing in the high mountains, Percayalah; and because of these tunes and her recent productions, it made it more difficult for Shiraz Projects‘ Executive Producer, Shirazdeen Karim and his team to curate the song list for Dato’ Sri Siti’s tour.
“We narrowed the song list down to 24 tracks and even that took several days of revising and negotiating,” Shirazdeen Karim spoke at the Press Conference introducing the tour and explaining the preparation and the crew that aids in its creation and planning. He added, “We’re using the same template used in the production of international tours and the preparation includes vocal training, dance rehearsal and music rehearsal.”
Writer, arranger and producer, Aubrey Suwito will be heading as music director for the tour and manages his All-Star band consisting both local and international musicians meaning Dato’ Sri Siti will be in the hands of the experienced and talented. Joseph Gonzales known for his position as a professor and lecturer at ASWARA’s Faculty of Dance will be the artistic director for the choreography designed for the tour.
“When doing a concert, we want it to be to a performance that is unforgettable to the fans. This tour is going to be a totally different experience from the preparation until the day the tour starts,” stated Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza as she highlighted that the tour will begin on 21st February 2019 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, continues on 2nd March 2019 at Singapore Expo, Singapore then on 16th March 2019 at Arena Axiata, Kuala Lumpur. There are plans that the tour will also be headed to London and Dato’ Sri Siti will make her comeback to the Royal Albert Hall stage again.
