Tales from Amma’s Kitchen is a series of 10 short scenes/plays written by Fa Abdul and presented by Big Nose Productions. The show ran for 3 days in the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. Unlike their previous Tales from the Bedroom and Tales from the Jamban series, Tales from Amma’s Kitchen happen all in the same household with connecting characters, although the scenes were not entirely chronological.
The Working Dead: Workshop Production is a musical written by Terence Toh under the production of Allnighters Production. It was staged at studio Twenty20Two last weekend over a run of 5 shows. The word ‘workshop’ in the title means that it is a work in progress – the show was a preview version for a possibly full length version of the musical in the future. As such, I will be gentle with my review, and consider it a feedback rather – as it is what this musical needs, after all.

If you haven’t catch any of the three Teater Modular, then you have been missing out on the most neoteric entry to the Malay theatre scene, and to contemporary theatre as a whole – Ridhwan Saidi and his playlets.
