As a crime drama that deals with police corruption and illegal immigrants, Crossroads: One Two Jaga constantly blurs the line between right and wrong, and between the good and the bad. A film that conveys such grey areas are unheard of and unseen in the Malaysian mainstream cinemas and its effort deserves to be lauded, despite its few drawbacks.
THE premiere of Sky Gan Yu Long‘s heart-rending Funeral launched this year’s BMW Shorties 2016. Produced with an RM75,000 grant earned through BMW Shorties 2015 thanks to his winning entry Fish, Sky’s new film chronicles the life of an old grocer following the passing of his beloved wife. Funeral follows the grocer and his young granddaughter as they organise a funeral for his late wife.
